Property Management

When a 3rd party agrees to manage an owner's Leased or rented property for compensation. the owner may hire a property manager directly or may choose to hire a property management firm. a manager may be less expensive but all of the liability remains with the owner whereas, a property management firm has a certain amount of liability and responsibility of the success of the property.

In either case, property management services should ALWAYS be provided under the perms of a written contract. The contract should spell out the responsibility of the parties, the pope of the services, any limitations, and despite resolution. Special care should be taken when the property to be leased or rented falls within the jurisdiction of a rent control ordinance.
